JAZZMAN" - 28 October
This amazing cinema documentary of Amro Salah, director and founder of Cairo Jazz Festival, was shot in 2014. Atef Ben Bouzid's production has garnered international acclaim and we are proud to be in it. The premiere for Egypt was held at Goethe Institut Kairo and a second screening was held at the 15th Cairo Jazz Festival Cairo Jazzman

Dance Company and we were honoured to be able to partner with them for this project. We collaborated with Egyptian NUT Dance Company and presented an inaugural performance in Cairo, setting the precedent for further collaborative work connecting Australia, the Pacific and the MENA region. It was fun being part of the Egyptian Jazz All-Stars lineup for The Jazz Society Of Egypt's IJD concert singing my lyrics to Timothy Michael's (piano) original composition 'Catch The Groove" with Andrew Maher - guitar, Youssef Hady bass, and David Maged - drums and "Hoochie Coochie Man" with Cairo Jazz Festival founder, Amro Salah - piano, Andrew Maher - guitar, Kareem Hossam -bass and Sameh Shaban - drums. Lots of great music in the garden of the AUC (American University Cairo) Tahrir campus!

The AMMAN JAZZ FESTIVAL
The 10th Amman Jazz Festival was phenomenal and we loved every moment of it - I performed with Jan Wouter Oostenrijk (guitar) and Nasser Salameh (percussion) on the main festival stage; and with Rami Attallah (keys and bass), (later joined by LBT members for a jam session : Leo Betzl (keys), Maximilian (bass), Sebastian Wolfgruber (drums)) at the inimitable Corner's Pub - I also hosted the main stage performances and all of this was made possible through the generous sponsorship of LetKnow Pay, under OrangeRed productions and through Suluo Daunivalu representation and management.
